1. Definition
Excessive hair Growth in androgen depedant areas of skin
cf)midline hair: sideburns, moustache, beard,chest or intermammary hair, inner ,midline, lower back(intergluteal area)
2. Hirsutism과 구분해야 하는 것들
-Hypertrichosis: androgen-independant growth of hair(trunk, extremity등 nonsexual area)
-Virilization(남성화):
Regression of female body characteristics and acquisition of male body characteristics
Severe degree of hyperandrogenism, Male pattern temporal balding
Increased muscle mass, Decreased breast size, Clitoromegaly, Coarsening of the voice
